Summary:
What do puzzles, riddles and quizzes have in common? The answer is that they press a natural ‘button’ all humans have, but they press it a lot harder!
They are the intellectual equivalents of cheesecake – they are irresistible.
In this webinar, Nick is going to look at what it is that makes people become hooked on things like Sudoku or Crossword Puzzles and suggest ways of taking advantage of their addictive potential to send students’ motivational levels sky-high.
He will also be demonstrating five practical activities that you can use with your students tomorrow.
And before you ask, yes, Nick is going to tell us where to find such materials online, too.

Short Bio
Nick Michelioudakis (B. Econ., Dip. RSA, MSc [TEFL]) has been active in ELT for many years as a teacher, examiner, presenter, and teacher trainer. He has travelled and given seminars and workshops in many countries all over the world.
He has written extensively on Methodology, though he is better known for his ‘Psychology and ELT’ articles in which he draws on insights from such disciplines as Marketing, Management and Social Psychology and which have appeared in numerous newsletters and magazines.
His areas of interest include Student Motivation, Learner Independence, Teaching one-to-one and Humour.
