Dear Colleagues,

IATEFL Poland and Lucyna Wilinkiewicz-Górniak, Senior Lecturer at CUE Language Centre, IATEFL PL Krakow Region Representative and Webinars Coordinator

have the pleasure to invite you to the webinar:

The use of scaffolding in the English language classroom

which will take place on 24th April, Wednesday, from 20.30 to 21.30 CET.

Your registration will be made via the Zoom platform.

Scaffolding is a way of supporting learners in the process of language acquisition. It helps them move from simple language to more complicated structures, building on skills that they already have. The main idea of this session is the notion that scaffolding is one of the crucial tools to be used in the language classroom, as it enables our students not only to learn faster and more effectively, but it helps them to become independent learners. While exploring some instructional scaffolding methods to be used at various levels of advancement, the session also presents some practical ideas which facilitate learning.

Some keywords: temporary framework, facilitation, prior knowledge, model, supportive learning, feedback.

During the webinar all participants will be provided with a certificate of participation, which they will be able to download.

IATEFL Poland members have priority of registration for this webinar.

Do not delay. The number of participants is limited.
